THE GREATEST SERMON ON HUMILITY BY JOHN THE BAPTIST

The greatest statement of Humility from John the Baptist;  “*He must increase, but I must decrease.”* ‭‭John‬ ‭3:30‬ ‭ At a point where people begun to leave him to follow Jesus and his disciples sought to incite him against the messiah . After All, they saw him baptizing Jesus and so they thought he should be bigger than Him. But John rather gave the greatest and shortest sermon on Humanity; “He must increase and I must decrease “ Would you exalt Jesus beyond yourself and personal desires today ? Would you walk the way of Christ ? Would you be like Jesus submit to the divine will of God even to the point of dying on the cross? (Philip 2:5-11) God resist the proud but give grace to the humble James 4:6.  God’s grace is supplied in abundance to those who follow his will in obedience and humility.  “And no one could deny the fact that the one who has the power to impart a blessing is superior to the one who receives it. –” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Therefore it is imperative ...

THE WAY TO THE TOP IS DOWN

In the kingdom of God, the way to the top is down. Selah Anyone who cannot humble himself or herself before the Lord and people cannot rise in this kingdom. No, then not with God. For God himself will resist such a person.  The Bible says, God resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6). Remember it was pride that made God cast down Lucifer to hell (Isa 14:12–15).  One of the hallmarks of people who are genuinely being used by God is humility.  Therefore one of the ways to identify whether God is at work in a place or not, is humility. The opposite of humility is pride, self boasting and self exaltation. It is glorifying one’s self above and beyond God! It is acting as though one does not depend on God’s grace and mercy but is self sufficient in themselves.  When Jesus’s disciples wanted to know which amongst them is the greatest, Jesus replied that it is the one who humbled himself to serve them most.  “But he that is greatest among you sha...

Humility

HUMILITY; One of Life's Greatest lessons that God is still teaching us all here on earth. As we go through life, one of the things that God will be teaching us is HUMILITY.  Yes, we will learn humility till we depart from this earth, because that is one of the greatest lessons we all need to learn in our walk with God.  You see, the opposite of humility is Pride or boasting, and this is one thing that is an abomination to God(Prov 6:17a; 16:5).  God from day one of our salvation, sought to deliver us all from this sickness called pride or boasting. This is the more reason why salvation is the Free gift of God. Read Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.(so we can say that, the main reason why God wants salvation to be a free gift is so that, no man can boast about it). Have you not noticed, that many a times, God causes miracles, breakthroughs and amazing things t...

YOU CANNOT BE MARRIED TO CHRIST(GRACE) AND STILL BE FLIRTING WITH MOSES(THE LAW)

*YOU CANNOT BE MARRIED TO CHRIST(GRACE) AND STILL BE FLIRTING WITH MOSES(THE LAW). * “Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭TPT‬‬ “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬ From the above scriptures we get to see that, the law was ministered through Moses. Hence Moses was the minister of the law ( The law stands for a system of covenant on which God dealt with mankind on earth) This was originally given to the people of Israel who were chosen as God’s own people, in their walk with God through Moses their prophet. It was a written code of do’s and don’t and it was from this that man was relating to God.  Hence during the Old Testament period prior to the death burial and resurrection of Chris...

A real life story. Lessons I learnt earlier in Life that helped me

Growing up in the Lord one thing I always had at heart was to never be disobedient to the heavenly vision and the call of God on my life(Acts 26:19). I got this understanding engrained in my heart earlier because I knew that my life was no longer my own but unto Him(Jesus) I belong.  This Jesus had become my Lord and Savior and He owns my whole life. And that He alone has the best plan for me and He is the author and finisher of my faith, period. This understanding guided my life and actions so much that I was careful to let anyone around me know that I’m sold out for the Lord hence there are no guarantees like normal people have, I simply live by faith in the Lord and I’m always at the beck and call of my master. If He says go I’ll go, if he says come I’ll come . That’s how simple, yet profound it is for me.  I remember telling my wife-to-be back then that, I know God will glorify himself in us but if God sent us to some remote village or some far distant country where...

Tithe and Giving as a believer

A little thought on Tithe and Giving to the new creation man. 🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏 The author of the book of Acts quoted the exact words of Jesus concerning giving that says “ giving brings far greater blessing than receiving “ Acts 20:35b TPT Act 20:35 I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Giving is a principle in the kingdom of God. Giving as it relates to all things including money.  Now, the fact is that, you do not give to be blessed under the new covenant, because in Christ you are already blessed. However, anyone who gives actually testifies about the reality of this truth in his or her life , that he or she is truly be blessed of the Lord!  Your giving is a sure sign that you are indeed blessed by God. So out of your acknowledgement that you are blessed ,you give!  Hence, failure to give is to say, God hasn't blessed ...

THE PROOF OF MINISTRY IS NOT IN NUMBERS BUT IN FAITHFULNESS

THE PROOF OF MINISTRY IS NOT IN NUMBERS BUT IN FAITHFULNESS*  As I carefully take a look the current trend of ministry all over, I see one common thing among many Churches, denominations, ministries and ministers which is very deceptive and misleading, and this has to do with the insatiable and unquenchable lust for huge numbers or bigger congregation members as a proof of ministry. Many have wrongly been taught that success in ministry is equal to the multitude of people who attend a church or follow the man of God. This error has gotten into the head of so many people to the point that, it almost looks like population or “huge numbers” is the yardstick for validity in ministry and the authenticity of the call of God on a person’s life. Hence many men/women of God feel so insecure about themselves and the ministry God has called them into. But I dare say that, *if large numbers was the proof of ministry, then I guess Jesus was a failure because He had only 12 disciples who followe...

HE (JESUS) IS OUR PEACE-2

HE(JESUS) IS OUR PEACE-2 Why is the gospel the gospel of peace? First we need to understand that, the centrality of the gospel is all about Jesus and what He did to bring salvation to mankind after the fall of man in the garden of Eden.  The Bible makes understand that, through Adam and Eve’s disobedience, all men became sinners and fell short of the glory of God(Gen 3, Rom 3:23).  This means, the divine relationship that existed between God and man had been broken and man begun to dread or shy away from the presence of God due to fear of punishment for their sin(Gen 3:7-10). Not only did man run from God’s presence but also man through the deception of satan had abdicated his dominion and power over into the hands of satan and man had become powerless being literally dead in sin and trespasses(Eph 2:1).  But thanks be to God for Jesus Christ! The scripture makes us understand that, for God so loved the world , that he sent his only begotten Son into the world, to ...

HE (JESUS) IS OUR PEACE -1

HE IS OUR PEACE The gospel is termed the gospel of peace for very important reasons (see Ephesians 6:15 and Romans 10:15). First, we need to understand that, the word of God which is the gospel, also means good news! I bet no good news should leave us terrified, perplexed or disturbed, rather a good news must bring peace and assurance of good things into our life.  The gospel is the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ to the whole world. And the consciousness of this news brings life and peace to us.  If anyone truly comes to comprehend the gospel of Jesus Christ , such a person would experience the peace of God like never before. This is the kind of peace which Jesus spoke about when he said “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬.  So you see, knowing Jesus personally brings such an inner peace into your life which no one can in this world. Bu...

JUSTIFICATION IN CHRIST

To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God.  The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬.  So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account,  not on ours! This this the big deal. And He truly finished it.  “One man’s(Adam’s) disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become...

RIGHTEOUSNESS -1

Man’s definition of righteousness is not the same as God’s definition of righteousness. Men are always struggling to attain God’s standard of righteousness by their works, yet when God puts his standard of weighing scale against man’s effort this is what He says; “For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God's favor, hurrying us toward destruction]. [Lev. 13:45, 46.]” Isaiah‬ ‭64:6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ Interestingly, the message Bible puts it this way, We are all sin-infected and sin contaminated! “  So then what do you think can make a fallen man right before God? Certainly only God has the power to declare one as righteous in accordance to the high standard of his righteousness.  And the good news is, He has chosen to impute this graciousness to us by FAI...

THE NECESSITY OF GROWTH 2

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Growing up in the faith requires that, one’s mind is inundated and renewed rightly with the true gospel of Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross for us. And this can only be possible as we make conscious effort to feed on the word of God . So apostle Peter told us “as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬. The number one key to growing up in the faith is about building a personal relationship with the Word of God. So When Paul told us that he’s moved from being a child into a matured man, he was obviously telling us about a level of insight, understanding and revelation he has gained through the gospel which has greatly influenced his life, setting him apart from his previous  state of being as a baby Christian into a matured man. These tr...

THE NECESSITY OF GROWING

*THE NECESSITY OF GROWING * “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Growth can be simplified as an “increase” in size, number , value, strength or even the mind.  One of the basic characteristics of all living things is growth. Hence any living thing that doesn’t grow with the passage of time and all other related factors is literally degenerating, declining, decreasing, decaying or even dying!  “Failing” to grow or mature is actually failure in itself.  A police man on the checkpoint of a road once stopped a butterfly 🦋 on its way home and requested for its I.D, the butterfly cheerfully gave him an ID card that borne an old picture of it when it was still a caterpillar 🐛. The officer inquired, sire I suppose this isn’t you on the Card? It replied no sire, it’s me😊. I only grew up to become a better version of myself.  Now, th...

Message on Coronavirus pandemic 2020

In times like this, we need not to shift our focus and message to the things happening around us. The message still remains the same; JESUS SAVES! If you are saved, then you don’t have to fear whatever is happening around you cos these things will happen and must happen. Being anxious about things like “Who is bringing a new world order, who is the antichrist, theories about 5G, microchip, end time tribulations, and so on doesn’t matter if you have eternal life in Christ. So Calm down and Ask yourself , am I saved? If you aren’t saved, then I present to you JESUS CHRIST. Receive Him into your heart today and be saved. Let’s keep telling the world about Jesus . The Gospel remains the only message that has the Power to Save the World 🌎 🙏 Blessings! ©️Aps Clem

The Gospel of Grace

*The Gospel is also called the Grace of Christ(Gal 1:6). * *You know what, because all that Jesus did for us on the cross can be encapsulated into just one word GRACE! * *Now do yourself some good, by giving yourself some grace too.* JESUS DIED FOR YOU. ©️Aps Clem

Easter Message 2020

*WORDS OF LIFE 💫* *Theme: How deep is your fall from Grace ?* “*If you want to be made holy by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from the Anointed One and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!”* ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭TPT‬‬ “If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God's gracious favor and unmerited blessing).” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ “*So that is why I don’t view God’s grace as something minor or peripheral. For if keeping the law could release God’s righteousness to us, the Anointed One would have died for nothing.”* ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Beloved, a fall from Grace is to depend on the law and your works as your means of qualification for God’s blessings ie salvation, righteousness, holiness etc. The Bible says ...

WORDS OF LIFE

*Theme: We have perfect Righteousness through the Sacrifice of Jesus* “Death once held us in its grip, and by the blunder of one man, death reigned as king over humanity. But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah! In other words, just as condemnation came upon all people through one transgression, so through one righteous act of Jesus’ sacrifice, the perfect righteousness that makes us right with God and leads us to a victorious life now available to all. One man’s disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also one man’s obedience opened the door for many to be made perfectly right with God and acceptable to him. So then, the law was introduced into God’s plan to bring the reality of human sinfulness out of hiding. And yet, wherever sin increased, there was more than enough of God’s grace to trium...

TRUE CHRISTIANITY

“*Christ died on the cross on my behalf. It is like I died there with him. So I do not live my own life any more. Instead, Christ lives in me. The life that I live now in my body, I live because I trust what he has done for me. He has loved me so much that he died on my behalf.”* ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭EASY‬‬ True Christianity is knowing that you died with Christ and that the life you live now is no longer you, but Christ living in you. This can only become your confession when you completely trust in what Christ did for you on the cross. #IT IS FINISHED! ©️Aps Clem

FAITH IN CHRIST

*If you build your faith on human beings, material wealth , social status and anything temporal, know that you are doomed to fail one day and very soon.* *Build your faith in Christ alone.* ©️Aps Clem

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT DEATH and LIFE AFTER DEATH ?

*HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR DEATH DAY(THE DAY YOU WILL EXIT THIS WORLD) ?* “*Teach us to count well our days. Then we will get a heart that thinks as God thinks.” Psalms‬ ‭90:12‬ ‭EASY* “*Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction.”* (TPT) To a vast majority of people living on earth today, one thing that scares them most, is the thought 💭 of death ☠️💀. The fact that one day they will die and be no more on the surface of this earth is something that brings fear into the hearts of many. However, there is also another sect of people who live like though they would never die from this earth.  But you see, no matter how hard we try to ignore this reality, the truth still remains that, one day it will catch up with everyone of us, if the Lord tarries and the World hasn’t come to an end yet. If you consider all the mighty men and women who once walked on ...
