THE NECESSITY OF GROWING

 *THE NECESSITY OF GROWING *

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Growth can be simplified as an “increase” in size, number , value, strength or even the mind.

One of the basic characteristics of all living things is growth. Hence any living thing that doesn’t grow with the passage of time and all other related factors is literally degenerating, declining, decreasing, decaying or even dying!

“Failing” to grow or mature is actually failure in itself.

A police man on the checkpoint of a road once stopped a butterfly πŸ¦‹ on its way home and requested for its I.D, the butterfly cheerfully gave him an ID card that borne an old picture of it when it was still a caterpillar πŸ›. The officer inquired, sire I suppose this isn’t you on the Card? It replied no sire, it’s me😊. I only grew up to become a better version of myself.

Now, that’s amazing right? Of course that is how each and everyone of us must keep growing up to become a better version of ourselves.

As believers, we learn from the apostle Paul that, though he was once a child, yet he did not remain a child forever but grew up to become a man.

Growing up is our daily responsibility as we journey through this life. Of course, I’m not just taking about eating healthy meals to increase in size or stature but more importantly I’m talking about a wholistic maturity that affects every part of our being.

From our opening scripture, we can see three major areas of transformation/growth that apostle Paul described; his Speech, his understanding/comprehension and his thoughts/thinking ability/ use of the brain.

As a believer we ought to allow the Spirit to influence or dominate these faculties of our being to see growth. Actually, the manifestation of our maturity will be manifested predominantly in these areas. The way and the words we speak, the way we understand/perceive God, ourselves and the things around us and the way we think or use our brain. Selah

Receive Grace not to remain stagnant in your Christian growth and maturity in Jesus name! Amen πŸ™

To be continued....

JUSTIFICATION IN CHRIST

To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God.  The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬.  So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account,  not on ours! This this the big deal. And He truly finished it.  “One man’s(Adam’s) disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also o

The Gospel of Grace

*The Gospel is also called the Grace of Christ(Gal 1:6). * *You know what, because all that Jesus did for us on the cross can be encapsulated into just one word GRACE! * *Now do yourself some good, by giving yourself some grace too.* JESUS DIED FOR YOU. ©️Aps Clem
