THE NECESSITY OF GROWTH 2

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Growing up in the faith requires that, one’s mind is inundated and renewed rightly with the true gospel of Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross for us. And this can only be possible as we make conscious effort to feed on the word of God . So apostle Peter told us “as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬. The number one key to growing up in the faith is about building a personal relationship with the Word of God. So When Paul told us that he’s moved from being a child into a matured man, he was obviously telling us about a level of insight, understanding and revelation he has gained through the gospel which has greatly influenced his life, setting him apart from his previous  state of being as a baby Christian into a matured man. These truths had now shaped his words, speech, his understanding, perceptions, his thoughts and actions as a believer and he could attest to the fact that, the things he used to do, the ways he used to act , think , perceive and understand things are no more the same. At least we know of how legalistic and zealous he was concerning the law and the traditions of his fathers until he encountered Christ(Gal 1:13-15) and the great turnaround of his life for Jesus afterwards.

Dear Believer, it is imperative that you make a conscious effort to grow in your walk with God. It is important that you pay close attention to the gospel, stick to it and walk in the liberating truth that it carries. That’s the hallmark of true discipleship.

It amazes me how most church folks after many years of being in church and going from one program to the other etc still act as though they are infants in the faith being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine and cunning craftiness which are only meant to deceive many.

But let’s Remember that, one of the main purpose of the ministerial gifts is to bring us unto maturity. (Eph 4:14)

Shalom!

JUSTIFICATION IN CHRIST

To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God.  The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬.  So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account,  not on ours! This this the big deal. And He truly finished it.  “One man’s(Adam’s) disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also o

The Gospel of Grace

*The Gospel is also called the Grace of Christ(Gal 1:6). * *You know what, because all that Jesus did for us on the cross can be encapsulated into just one word GRACE! * *Now do yourself some good, by giving yourself some grace too.* JESUS DIED FOR YOU. ©️Aps Clem
