To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God. The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:25 KJV. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans 4:25 TPT. So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account, not on ours! This this the big deal.
