THE PROOF OF MINISTRY IS NOT IN NUMBERS BUT IN FAITHFULNESS

THE PROOF OF MINISTRY IS NOT IN NUMBERS BUT IN FAITHFULNESS*

As I carefully take a look the current trend of ministry all over, I see one common thing among many Churches, denominations, ministries and ministers which is very deceptive and misleading, and this has to do with the insatiable and unquenchable lust for huge numbers or bigger congregation members as a proof of ministry. Many have wrongly been taught that success in ministry is equal to the multitude of people who attend a church or follow the man of God. This error has gotten into the head of so many people to the point that, it almost looks like population or “huge numbers” is the yardstick for validity in ministry and the authenticity of the call of God on a person’s life. Hence many men/women of God feel so insecure about themselves and the ministry God has called them into. But I dare say that, *if large numbers was the proof of ministry, then I guess Jesus was a failure because He had only 12 disciples who followed Him everywhere, even one betrayed Him and left alongside* .This misrepresentation of success in ministry by extension has led many into using carnal, devilish, manipulative and dubious means of gaining multitude into their denominations and Churches just to satisfy their ego(not because they want to love and care for these souls genuinely). Sadly, most of the souls in some churches today are only counted for numbers and not as true disciples of Christ. They are not properly fed or tended by the shepherd to become true disciples of Christ , they are only seen as numbers(figures). The shepherds only milk them of what they already had and leave them just as they are. They’re Kept in bondage and fear of their religious lords and masters. But I hear the Spirit saying, the time is up for these religious games. The Lord himself is opening up people’s eyes and He is raising shepherds after his own heart to properly feed his flock(Jer 3:15). And to the shepherds who do not care about God’s heritage, hear this  “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.

Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, *and cause them to cease from feeding the flock*; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭34:2-4, 10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Folks, let us be mindful that, it is God who called us and it is to him that we have to reckon with on the day of accountability. When we stand before God, He will judge us not by “what size” but by “what sort “ was our work.( “1Cor 3:10-13). Size deals with numbers but sort deals with the quality and the heart behind. Let me tell you the truth, God has no reward for the number of followers anyone had neither the size of our congregation etc. Rather what He rewards is faithfulness!. The ability to take good care of what He’s given to you to the point that by reason of maturity, it bears fruit and become a blessing to others. Note, there is certainly increase and multiplication in faithfulness as a fruit. But no fruit can grow without first attending to the roots; that’s true growth by discipleship. So let the church focus on making disciples (not merely converts or followers) and let every minister be willing to do this ministry and be focused on it, even if it is to one person.

“And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

JUSTIFICATION IN CHRIST

To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God.  The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬.  So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account,  not on ours! This this the big deal. And He truly finished it.  “One man’s(Adam’s) disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also o

The Gospel of Grace

*The Gospel is also called the Grace of Christ(Gal 1:6). * *You know what, because all that Jesus did for us on the cross can be encapsulated into just one word GRACE! * *Now do yourself some good, by giving yourself some grace too.* JESUS DIED FOR YOU. ©️Aps Clem
