YOU CANNOT BE MARRIED TO CHRIST(GRACE) AND STILL BE FLIRTING WITH MOSES(THE LAW)

*YOU CANNOT BE MARRIED TO CHRIST(GRACE) AND STILL BE FLIRTING WITH MOSES(THE LAW). *

“Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

From the above scriptures we get to see that, the law was ministered through Moses. Hence Moses was the minister of the law ( The law stands for a system of covenant on which God dealt with mankind on earth) This was originally given to the people of Israel who were chosen as God’s own people, in their walk with God through Moses their prophet. It was a written code of do’s and don’t and it was from this that man was relating to God.

Hence during the Old Testament period prior to the death burial and resurrection of Christ, man lived under the law and was subject to the law. The law had strict obligations, rules and regulations and if any man faulted, the law had strict punishment for them. And this was the system that was operating before the new covenant, which is Grace .

Grace is Jesus himself to mankind. So the law came by Moses but grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ. Grace is the new covenant on which God relates with man . It is based on what Christ has done and not on what we can do or will do by our strength. Grace focuses on Christ and all he has accomplished for Us through his sacrifice.

Clearly , no one can be under two covenants at the same time. It doesn’t work that way. Either you are under the law or under Grace . And the Scriptures makes it clear that NOW, Presently, we are no more under the law but under grace . Grace frees us from the power and guilt of sin. It liberates us and make us sons of God . It gives unto us the perfect gift of Gods righteousness (2Cor 5:21). It makes us able to come boldly into the Holy presence of God without fear. Grace makes us holy, sanctified, justified and accepted in the beloved. It is by grace that we become a partaker of the glorious inheritance of the saints. We are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ because of his grace. In Fact, the list is endless.

But grace makes all the difference!

So like a marriage union, We cannot be married to Christ who is Grace and still be flirting with Moses or the Law. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness (Rom 10:4) and so flirting with the law whiles we are married to Christ doesn’t go well.

We are to stick to one and walk with him eternally. Hence , this is what apostle Paul by the spirit told the believers;

“I write to you, dear brothers and sisters, who are familiar with the law. Don’t you know that when a person dies, it ends his obligation to the law? For example, a married couple is bound by the law to remain together until separated by death. But when one spouse dies, the other is released from the law of the marriage. So then if a wife is joined to another man while still married, she commits adultery. But if her husband dies, she is obviously free from the marriage contract and may marry another man without being charged with adultery. So, my dear brothers and sisters, the same principle applies to your relationship with God. For you died to your first husband, the law, by being co-crucified with the body of the Messiah. So you are now free to “marry” another—the one who was raised from the dead so that you may now bear spiritual fruit for God.”

“When we were merely living natural lives, the law, through defining sin, actually awakened sinful desires within us, which resulted in bearing the fruit of death. But now that we have been fully released from the power of the law, we are dead to what once controlled us. And our lives are no longer motivated by the obsolete way of following the written code, so that now we may serve God by living in the freshness of a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:1-6TPT‬‬

So you see, The Christian life is a life of the Spirit and of Grace not a list of laws of do and don’ts which a man must strive to obey to be right with God. The Spiritual Life is a higher kind of Life. Selah

JUSTIFICATION IN CHRIST

To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God.  The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬.  So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account,  not on ours! This this the big deal. And He truly finished it.  “One man’s(Adam’s) disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also o

The Gospel of Grace
