THE WAY TO THE TOP IS DOWN

In the kingdom of God, the way to the top is down. Selah

Anyone who cannot humble himself or herself before the Lord and people cannot rise in this kingdom. No, then not with God. For God himself will resist such a person.

The Bible says, God resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Remember it was pride that made God cast down Lucifer to hell (Isa 14:12–15).

One of the hallmarks of people who are genuinely being used by God is humility.

Therefore one of the ways to identify whether God is at work in a place or not, is humility.

The opposite of humility is pride, self boasting and self exaltation. It is glorifying one’s self above and beyond God! It is acting as though one does not depend on God’s grace and mercy but is self sufficient in themselves.

When Jesus’s disciples wanted to know which amongst them is the greatest, Jesus replied that it is the one who humbled himself to serve them most.

“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” (Matthew‬ ‭23:11‬ & Matt 20:25-28).

Therefore God’s word exhorts us to ‬‬“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

‭‭(James‬ ‭4:10‬ & 1Pet 5:6)

JUSTIFICATION IN CHRIST

To be justified is simply to be declared just or right. It is a legal term signifying acquittal from any charges or offends that were leveled against someone. Hence to be justified is to be declared righteous in the sight of God.  The Bible makes us understand that, this blessing was bestowed on us through the work of Jesus Christ, “who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Now in plain language “Jesus was handed over to be crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and was raised back to life to prove that he had made us right with God!” Romans‬ ‭4:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬.  So you see, Jesus’s main work on earth was to make us right with God! He came to break the barrier of sin that separated us from God and to establish a new relationship between us and the father, on his account,  not on ours! This this the big deal. And He truly finished it.  “One man’s(Adam’s) disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also o

The Gospel of Grace

*The Gospel is also called the Grace of Christ(Gal 1:6). * *You know what, because all that Jesus did for us on the cross can be encapsulated into just one word GRACE! * *Now do yourself some good, by giving yourself some grace too.* JESUS DIED FOR YOU. ©️Aps Clem
