THE GREATEST SERMON ON HUMILITY BY JOHN THE BAPTIST

The greatest statement of Humility from John the Baptist;  “*He must increase, but I must decrease.”* ‭‭John‬ ‭3:30‬ ‭ At a point where people begun to leave him to follow Jesus and his disciples sought to incite him against the messiah . After All, they saw him baptizing Jesus and so they thought he should be bigger than Him. But John rather gave the greatest and shortest sermon on Humanity; “He must increase and I must decrease “ Would you exalt Jesus beyond yourself and personal desires today ? Would you walk the way of Christ ? Would you be like Jesus submit to the divine will of God even to the point of dying on the cross? (Philip 2:5-11) God resist the proud but give grace to the humble James 4:6.  God’s grace is supplied in abundance to those who follow his will in obedience and humility.  “And no one could deny the fact that the one who has the power to impart a blessing is superior to the one who receives it. –” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Therefore it is imperative that we walk t

THE WAY TO THE TOP IS DOWN

In the kingdom of God, the way to the top is down. Selah Anyone who cannot humble himself or herself before the Lord and people cannot rise in this kingdom. No, then not with God. For God himself will resist such a person.  The Bible says, God resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6). Remember it was pride that made God cast down Lucifer to hell (Isa 14:12–15).  One of the hallmarks of people who are genuinely being used by God is humility.  Therefore one of the ways to identify whether God is at work in a place or not, is humility. The opposite of humility is pride, self boasting and self exaltation. It is glorifying one’s self above and beyond God! It is acting as though one does not depend on God’s grace and mercy but is self sufficient in themselves.  When Jesus’s disciples wanted to know which amongst them is the greatest, Jesus replied that it is the one who humbled himself to serve them most.  “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” (Matthew

Humility

HUMILITY; One of Life's Greatest lessons that God is still teaching us all here on earth. As we go through life, one of the things that God will be teaching us is HUMILITY.  Yes, we will learn humility till we depart from this earth, because that is one of the greatest lessons we all need to learn in our walk with God.  You see, the opposite of humility is Pride or boasting, and this is one thing that is an abomination to God(Prov 6:17a; 16:5).  God from day one of our salvation, sought to deliver us all from this sickness called pride or boasting. This is the more reason why salvation is the Free gift of God. Read Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.(so we can say that, the main reason why God wants salvation to be a free gift is so that, no man can boast about it). Have you not noticed, that many a times, God causes miracles, breakthroughs and amazing things to happen to us
