THE PROOF OF MINISTRY IS NOT IN NUMBERS BUT IN FAITHFULNESS*  As I carefully take a look the current trend of ministry all over, I see one common thing among many Churches, denominations, ministries and ministers which is very deceptive and misleading, and this has to do with the insatiable and unquenchable lust for huge numbers or bigger congregation members as a proof of ministry. Many have wrongly been taught that success in ministry is equal to the multitude of people who attend a church or follow the man of God. This error has gotten into the head of so many people to the point that, it almost looks like population or “huge numbers” is the yardstick for validity in ministry and the authenticity of the call of God on a person’s life. Hence many men/women of God feel so insecure about themselves and the ministry God has called them into.   HE(JESUS) IS OUR PEACE-2 Why is the gospel the gospel of peace? First we need to understand that, the centrality of the gospel is all about Jesus and what He did to bring salvation to mankind after the fall of man in the garden of Eden.  The Bible makes understand that, through Adam and Eve’s disobedience, all men became sinners and fell short of the glory of God(Gen 3, Rom 3:23).  This means, the divine relationship that existed between God and man had been broken and man begun to dread or shy away from the presence of God due to fear of punishment for their sin(Gen 3:7-10). Not only did man run from God’s presence but also man through the deception of satan had abdicated his dominion and power over into the hands of satan and man had become powerless being literally dead in sin and trespasses(Eph 2:1).  But thanks be to God for Jesus Christ!
